Terms & Conditions
Use of the PeerTix system and mobile application (user agreement, version valid as of 1 January 2024)
“Arvenis Szolgáltató és Tanácsadó Korlátolt Felelősségű Társaság (registered office: H-2131 Göd, Erkel Ferenc utca 6., tax number: 14000618-2-13, registration body: Company Registry Court of the Budapest Environs Regional Court, registration number: 13-09-174739, hereinafter: “Arvenis”) provides free of charge use of its PeerTix event and ticket management system (hereinafter: “System”) and the PeerTix mobile application (“Application”) offering access to the System, on the following terms and conditions.
By installing and running the Application, you agree to the following terms of use.
The purpose of the System is to make the storage, use and further utilization of the tickets granting access to the events more secure, based on a contract with each ticket issuer. The System is based on a blockchain application, which is the own intellectual product of Arvenis, as part of which ticket issuers store in the System the ticket data specified by them, that do not contain personal data.
Arvenis makes the use of the Application publicly available, but it can only be used by individuals who have an account with a ticket issuer, by agents of companies that verify tickets and by users of the ticket issuer, according to the presentation and verification functions described below.
Arvenis makes the use of the System available to you exclusively through the Application. In order to use the System and the Application, you should register in the System in advance (user ID, email, displayed user name, date of birth).
After the ticket purchase, the ticket issuer will send you a message informing you that you can manage and securely store the purchased ticket in the System and will send you the purchase ID required to record the ticket in the System. When you enter this ID in the Application, the System will link the ticket to your System account.
The use of the System and the Application may be terminated by Arvenis at any time at its sole discretion in accordance with the information published on its website, provided that Arvenis undertakes to notify users of the planned termination date at least three months before the planned termination, in the absence of an official measure of the authority or a court decision.
You may stop using the Application at any time by removing the Application from the device running it. You may delete your account registered in the System by using the Application if you do not have a valid, active ticket.
Arvenis is the copyright owner of the System and the Application, and you will only be granted the right to use the Application as necessary to run the Application if you accept this user agreement, and you will cease to have such right upon removal of the Application. This user agreement does not grant you the right to use the terms Arvenis, System, Application or PeerTix.
This user agreement shall be governed by the laws of Hungary and you agree that any dispute relating to this user agreement shall be resolved by a Hungarian court.
The validation of the ticket data (and the corresponding QR code) downloaded to the mobile application does not require you to have continuous access to the ticket issuer’s or PeerTix’s system, thus the tickets can be downloaded to the mobile application. If the status of the downloaded ticket in the mobile application is valid, but you find that the ticket does not authorise entry when you check it, the ticket issuer, and not Arvenis, can inform you on its reasons. Similarly, it is the ticket issuer who can also provide information about why the tickets you have purchased may not be available in the PeerTix system and the mobile application, why the condition of the tickets may not be as you assumed, or why the information about the ticket or information is not accurate.
If you initiate a transfer of your ticket (such as a gift) in the Application, any change to the data relating to this will be mirrored in the System and it is the responsibility of the ticket issuer to mirror this change in its own system. If you initiate the transfer or redemption of your ticket in the issuer’s account and the issuer makes these changes in the System, the changes will also be mirrored in the mobile application.
It is your responsibility not to show the unique QR code required to validate your ticket to any person other than the ticket verifier.
If unauthorised persons obtain the QR code, they may misuse your ticket details and allow your ticket to be used by others. The validity of the ticket is also jeopardised if you make the unique code of the ticket available outside the Application (e.g. a code printed on a paper ticket is accessed by an unauthorised third party).
Given that your use of the PeerTix system and mobile application is free of charge and ancillary to the use of the ticket, by performing this user agreement Arvenis shall exclude all liability for damages (excluding its liability for intentional breach of contract causing injury to life, limb or health) to the fullest extent possible.
In particular, Arvenis shall not be liable if the PeerTix system or the mobile application is unavailable at a given time and you are therefore unable to access an event and prove your right to access it. In such a case, Arvenis shall be contractually liable for damages only towards the ticket issuer.

Arvenis is entitled to modify this user agreement at any time by disclosing the new terms and conditions after the modification has entered into force and by specifying in the terms and conditions when the new version will take effect. Arvenis will notify users of significant changes via the application at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
